Need to be more active!
It seems like every morning I get up I've lost another lb or two but I'm a month and two weeks out lost 50 lbs and I still feel I should have lost more than that. About to go walking this morning with my neighbor. And on days I don't go out to walk, I do walk away the lbs and tae bo. But I still don't think it's enough! I know I didn't put on this weight overnight and I'm not going to lose 100 lbs overnight! I need to step my "A" game up a bit more. I know my limits, but thinking walking in the morning and walk away the lbs in the evening just might get it!
How much weight did you guys lose after being a month and some weeks out? What did you do to lose all the weight you've lost now?

I lost about 25-30 lbs the first month to six weeks. I walked a lot. I have dogs so that made it easy - walk the dog; going to walk the dog; gotta walk the dog...
I worked up to 2 mile walks several times a week with a minimum walk of 1 one mile a day. I convinced myself it was for the dogs, not me. Funny how we will do something for someone else without hesitation.
I also started doing light hand weights at home. I looked online for some basic arm, shoulder and upper back exercises to do. I usually do them in front my computer. Over time the weight routine has grown into more. I started with 2lb weights, then 5lbs, now I use 8lbs. I do the routine at least 4 times a week. I also have an eliptical machine in my den, right in front of the TV. I started with 5 minutes 3 times a week and I'm now at 15 minutes 3 times a week. I'm also starting to add pilates. I had been losing 2-5 lbs every week or so, but that is slowing down now. I'm kind of in a stall, so I'm waiting it out. I keep doing my routine, staying on plan.
I'm not in a hurry to win any marathons so I'm taking my time. I let my body tell me how much I can handle. Every day is different. Some days I can go go go; other days I just do my walk. I always do something though. I'm 6 months out and still adjusting to the new me and how my body works.

that's wonderful!! I wish we could have dogs in our complex but unfortunately we cant! :( Walking the dog would be a good excuse to get out there and walk for myself! I just got back walking around our complex with my next door neighbor and was about to die...but I kept going and feel good for doing it! It's suppose to rain tomorrow but I hope not so we can walk again.Later today I'm going to do my Walk Away the LBs! So starting today, walking in the mornings and walk away the lbs in the evenings!
You lost 50lbs in 6 weeks? That is terrific. I know it never seems fast enough. It just takes patience.
I always say that the trick for me losing all my excess weight has been at least 100 grams of protein a day, 100 oz of fluids, 3 meals a day and a protein snack. No other snack, grazing or unplanned food. I totally avoided all refined foods such as sugar, bread, pasta, crackers, anything with wheat, you get the picture. I stuck with protein, fruits, vegetables, dairy and whole grains.
It took me a long time to get active. When I had my revision I was pretty sick and had no energy to do anything. It took a long time to feel better and now I try to get in 30 minutes to an hour a day of activity.
Keep up the good work. You are doing great!

That is an incredible amount of weight in just a month and a half! I think I might have lost 30 pounds then. Maybe a little less.
What did I do to lose all the weight I've lost? I lost 150 pounds (took me about 18 months) by eating small meals five or six times a day, getting at least 70 grams of protein, limiting the starchy carbs, measuring my food... um, I guess that's about it. I have exercised some but not very much.
