Flinstone Vitamins=My Nemesis
The "all surgeons/nuts are different" argument makes even less sense to me. Sure, they are all different but their differences do not change our physiology. If my surgeon says I need a vitamin with selenium but I would prefer to take Flintstones, should I just change surgeons? If Dr. A is my surgeon, will my body need selenium but if I switch to Dr. B, will my anatomy somehow change so that I will no longer need any selenium? Somehow I doubt it. No matter what my doctor says, my body is going to need what it needs. I mean, if some doc told you that you did not need oxygen, would you then suddenly stop needing it?

My NUT has also said Flintstones are ok, but so are Centrum Silver Chewable amongst other chewable brands.
However, here's my thinking and take it for what it is worth. I intend to either do Centrum Silver or a different chewable, but NOT Flintstones. Flintstones is a children's vitamin and I am not a child.
Another point to your hubby might be that if you have to take two Flintstones instead of one, it is going to cost twice as much. So, why not get an adult chewable and take just one? Might still be a bit more $$wise, but why chew more of those darn vits than you have too.
