1. Did you gain weight in the hospital?
Yes; I was 293 in pre-op before mysurgery; at 1030pm that night I weighed 303.

2. If you did gain weight, how much did you gain?
10 lbs.

3. How much IV fluid were you given (if known)?
I don't know, but they changed the IV bag at least four times I can recall.

4. How long after surgery was the first week you lost weight?
I started weighing myself daily six days post-op; I had lost all the IV liquid weight as well as a couple additional pounds. 12 days out now and I am down, including the IV liquid weight, 23 pounds.

Yup- gained 12 or 13 pounds from the IV .  It sucked but it, plus 10 more pounds, were gone a week after getting home.

I weighed myself the day of surgery.  I weighed 20 lbs more when I got home.  I have no idea how much IV fluids I had.  It took me 1 week to lose those 20 lbs.

Absolutely! I gained a solid 15 lbs lol I dont know how much fluid I was given, but because of the catheter my body wouldnt go to the bathroom on its own. I was stuck in for a 2nd night because of it. It was so frustrating having to pee but not being able to figure out how! As soon as I got home though I started losing weight. I lost that 15 lbs within the first week home.
