This is also a simplified explanation which is as follows: Carbs cause your body to release insulin into the bloodstream. The main purpose of insulin in your body is to tell your body to STORE FAT!!!!!! Many of us have been on the carb addict treadmill. They are addictive! Dr. Oz, had a show on this subject and he also concluded that for some people, carbs are more addictive than cocaine. For some, the more carbs you have, the more you want. For a diabetic, this can cause elevated bloodsugar readings which can lead to serious complications. Be wary.
