I have been approved for surgery and I am sooooo excited!!

I may seem odd but I would like to get a tattoo to signify the start of my new life .....

Anyone have any ideas? For like new beginning or new start or something cool.  I don't want to put a huge one- just something small.  I guess I am not very creative

Also I need some friends on here!!!  How does everyone get them? I guess I need to be on here more often :)

I think and I could be wrong (it's been known to happen. LOL) that a dragonfly signifies new beginnings.

I am Irish and I have the Irish symbol of mother's love. With my sons name underneath it with a shamrock (I have yet to get the twins on there) and I have a rose that I got in my dorm room in 1993 that I am going to have covered.

A Butterfly Breaking out of a Cocoon would be pretty cool

I'm having a tattoo of a phoenix, which is the bird that bursts into flame and them magially is reborn.  It is how I'm feeling.   I saw one lady who actually put her name on what looked like a grave stone with her date of surgery as the date of death, to signify that the old her was no longer there, although that is a bit extreme for me!

I'm about 1-1/2 weeks out and would love for you to be my friend on line.  It is always good to have some people who are farther out than you that can maybe help with a problem that you are struggling with, as we all have to go through the phases.
