So i couldnt wait to get to work so i could weigh myself. I haven't purchased a scale yet. Well to my surpise the damn scale said 270.00 which is 1.5  lbs since last week..When i went to my pre-op appointment the scale said 268.5.(lost 8)...Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on.....I am so mad, because i worked hard this week, i even walked more, took the kids fishing at the harbor, I feel better. I really hope that this doesn't mess me  up with surgery Tuesday!

No two scales are alike.
There can be up to a 4 pound difference just from day to evening.
You can lose up to 4 pounds in the bathroom alone.
Dont panic
Good luck Tuesday

It could be any number of factors. Have you eaten a lost of salt like in pickles or Chinese food?  Are you retaining fluids?  Is it that time of month?I know this is to graphic, but you had a bowel movement?(not having one could put a pound or two on).  Your body might be taking a break for a couple of days.  Believe me, that happens a lot.
The whole thing is not to get upset for 1 week.  Keep on striving to work on losing the weight, getting exercises, and eating right.  Doing that, you are ensuring that your body is at optimal health for your surgery and setting yourself up for future success once the operation has been completed.
Good Luck.

I hate the scale!! I too am watching it closely as surgery is next Mon. On any given day, it can fluctuate 3-5 lbs. Somehow, I lost 7lbs from Fri to Sat. Now if I only weigh what I did on Sat tomorrow at my preop appt, I'll be good. Looking forward to meeting on the loser's bench. Good luck!!
