Actually, just froze some of that last night. It is great one for the freezer.

Thanks!

I call it cream cheese chicken:

1 brick of cream cheese, softened
1 package Good Seasonings zesty Italian dressing (powder)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 to 1-1/2 pounds chicken breasts.

Makes a super yummy sauce and the chicken is really tender.

I toss the cream cheese, soup, and seasonings into the ziploc bag and smu**** all up (like my super technical terms!!). Then I toss in the chicken and slo**** around until coated. That can be frozen and then just thaw it and dump it all in the crockpot the morning you are ready for it. Only thing is that it really doesn't need an 8-10 hour cook like some recipes do. I'm home during the day so it isn't a problem for me--takes about 4 hours or so on low. Hmmm, wonder if you have a delay start if tossing it in the crock still frozen would keep it safe spoilage wise, but still allow you to only do the 4-5 hours?

I don't use my crock pot much anymore but I did when I was working full time.  I loved coming home from work to a ready to eat meal.  I made a lot of soup and bean dishes in my crock pot.  I imagine most soup recipes would work if you put the ingredients in a ziploc bag and froze them.  When I made soup in the crock pot, I didn't really use a recipe most of the time.  I cut up whatever veggie sounded good or whatever veggies I happened to have on hand and threw in some beans, also whatever kind I happened to have on hand.  I'd use some veggie broth along with some water and garlic and whatever other spices sounded good at the moment.

If you love crockpot meals like I do, you have GOT to check out this site.  There are so many crockpot recipes and I imagine many could be frozen!

I always do my crock pot meals in advance.  I get everything into the crock pot bowl the night before and put it in the fridge.  In the morning I just have to put it in the outer part and turn it on!  I just did some bbq chicken, and I've done bbq pork.  pot raost with potatos carrots and onions (liptons french onion packet is the secret ingredient).... chili, taco soup, potato soup, spaghetti sauce with meatballs or sausage... my crock pot is my best friend...

Great idea and one I will surely use in the future, but unfortunately, after my surgery I'm not allowed to lift anything much for a couple/few weeks. Was hoping to just have to lift the ziploc for now!

Curried stew.

Can of diced tomatos (drained), can of lentils( drained), can of chickpeas (drained), 2-4 chicken breasts, cubed, and 2-4 kinds of crockpotable veggies (green beans, cauliflower, bell peppers, zucchini for example). Then dice an onion and sautee it until soft with some garlic and then add 2 TBSP of a curry paste (like Patak's) let is sautee for a minute or two then add a cup of chicken or veggie stock to deglaze, dump it in to the pot, cover and cook for 4 hours on high or 7.5 on low - or freeze and cook later.

You can also ditch the curry, use the same ingredients and add lots of fresh or dried basil and a can of tomato paste instead.

I don't do much with curry, but have really wanted to try it--this sounds like a nice way to experiment with it!

Thanks!
