Is Centrum Silver good for us?

I have been taking Bariatric Advantage vitamins since my RNY. I started out with the "regular" chewable multis and then switched over to the chocolate mint ADEK chewables, mostly for the Vitamin K because I was deficient. Then came the recall so I had to buy the "tropical" flavor BA ADEK. BLECH! They taste horrible! So I'm thinking of just taking a non-ADEK multi and buying Vit K from Vitalady and taking it as a separate supplement. Anywho.... I was looking at the Centrum Silver label, and they seem OK. Is anyone taking Centrum Silver Chewables? Do they seem OK for us? Should I take 2 tablets a day?

Why do you want chewables? Personal preference? I have been swallowing pills since day one. I know all surgeons are different, just curious.
I take the generic Centrum Silver. I have been taking them for years because I wanted a multivitamin without iron since the iron in them upsets my stomach. I take Tender Iron from Vitalady for my iron.
I heard they are fine to take.

Thanks Ladytazz! I prefer chewables. I just got used to taking chewables from day one. I take Tender Iron from Vitalady also. :)

centrum silver chewables have everything you want in a multi and yes, you need to take 2 per day. You should have been taking 2 multis since the beginning - we need 200% of the daily values of almost everything. As far as the ADEK - you don't want them - the D isn't enough, and the A,E and K you only want if you need. Taking too much can be harmful in these vitamins. The centrum silver chewables taste really good and they have selenium in them which we need and alot of other multi's don't have any. For vitamin K, if you are deficient, I believe that is a prescription - ask your doctor. If not, yes vitalady.com does sell it but probably in lower doses.

Thanks rbb! I have been taking 2 multis a day from the beginning. My Vit K level was slightly low at one point, and I started taking the ADEK simply for the Vit K, and my K level was fine after that. I will get the Vit K from Vitalady. The amount in one of her Vit K supplements is almost the same as the amount in the ADEK I was taking. I'm also taking a separate D3 supplement from Vitalady, and my D level has been improving greatly. I'm going to buy the Centrum Silver Chewable on Amazon. They have a 2-pack (120 pills total) for $20.46. Decent price!

Also, check Walgreens and CVS. They often have buy one get one free sales on their vitamins so you can get two bottles for the price of one! I think they are on sale this week!

Hi my surgeon said I can't take centrum silver anymore. I have been taking Bariactric Advantage
vitamins Multi-vitamins Berry flavor, calcium citate chewy bites choc flavored, Iron chewy bite
choc raspbeery truffle I love all the flavors that I take.

Why can't you take Centrum Silver anymore? They are very similar to the BA multis.

I've been taking Centrium Silver since the surgeon said to go ahead and take my vitamins. Since I don't like chewing my vitamins I add them to my protein shakes once a day that way I'm still getting everything I need to be getting in.
