Maybe I'm just going blind in my old age, but I was looking at vitamins this weekend and when comparing regular Centrum to Centrum Silver, the regular had Vitamin K listed and the Silver didn't.  Even weirder, the children's chewable Centrum was exactly the same as the regular adult in amounts for everything and called for 1/2 tablet for kids and 1 tablet for folks over 12...

Susan, you're not going blind!   :)   I was comparing the regular Centrum to the Centrum Silver also and noticed that the regular had Vit K and the Silver didn't.  Don't know the reason for that.  I just started taking Centrum Silver chewable last week (two per day), and I also take a Vit K supplement due to having had a low Vit K level.

I think you are correct.  I think the Silver also does not have iron.  So we would probably need to take those things separately.

I know with the chewable Centrum, the regular does not have selenium and the Silver does.  I think the regular Centrum you swallow, though, does have selenium.

I didn't know the chewable children's was the same as the regular adult.  I guess it makes sense though.  Basically they are saying children over 12 should take an adult vitamin and those under 12 only need half as much stuff as adults do.

Sounds like you are really looking at labels on vitamins, which is good.  Never assume that if they say "complete" on the front of the bottle that they really have everything in them, never assume if they say "bariatric" on the bottle that it means they are the right stuff for us, never assume anything.  Always read the labels.

I ended up buying the kid's version since they have all the same ingredients--it has more flavors than the adult chewable Centrum.  However, I feel extremely cheated.  Going by the front of the bottle you get the impression that the tablets have three fun shapes.  There is no truth in advertising...the tablets are the same old generic shape as the adult, darn it.

Are the flavors good at least?

Maybe you should write them a letter requesting fun shapes?  What shapes would be good?  How about frogs?  I like frogs.

The flavors aren't bad at all & certainly more interesting than orange, orange and more orange. Combined with the orange flavor of the Vitamin C flavor it can be incredibly dull.

he jar for the kids Ventrum shows an octopus, a fish and a dolphn.  I would settle for those.
