just need to vent
because this NUT i have been seeing is ridiculous. She tells me last week she won't give me a letter unless I come in for an additional appointment in which she will have the letter ready for me. I go in last night and of course no letter. She tells me very nonchalantly that she will have it in on Monday. I specifically told her my date is scheduled for Oct 17th and I don't want to go through with all the testing and classes if I don't get approved since I will have to do them again if my date gets pushed back. She tells me because of the upcoming holiday she will only be in the office for a few hours. I call her this morning and told her if I don't get this letter today I will lose my date and all she says is she will try and see what she can do. I reminded her that last week she told me the letter would be ready when I come in for my appointment and it was not and now she is telling me to wait until Monday. I am thinking I should try and see someone else this week but I won't have my last few months of appointments documented. Any suggestions other than writing a letter of how dissatisfied I have been with her? Thanks for letting me vent friends. Hope all is well!!!
Thanks but I don't think that will help because I think she works independently at a doctor's office. I don't think they over see anything she does. This is soooo annoying because by the time I find out the insurance decision, I could have had a whole bunch of tests done and needles dug in me unnecessarily...
I totally feel ya! I got the run around and empty promises on important paperwork that had to be faxed from my surgeon's office, too. A week went by after I was told it would be faxed before I found out it had NOT been faxed. I rode the office admin's tail and I'm sure she got put out with me but I really didn't care. I'm sure my surgery wasn't her top priority but it sure was MINE!!!
Raise cane (without being kicked out of the office) and stay on them about it. Some people are lazy or they just don't see the urgency like we do. Your surgery is more important to you than it is to anyone else. Doesn't mean, though, that they can keep putting you off. If you were told that you'd have paperwork by a certain date, they need to stick to their word!

The doctor's office she works at should have an office manager. Put in a call to them ASAP---this is your life she is messing with and you have done everything you are supposed to do and she has not on a few ocassions. The doctor's office needs to know what kind of image she is sending out as well.
Good luck!
