Tomorrow's the big day
How exciting and congratulations on starting a NEW LIFE.
I am one of the ones that will have to do the liquid diet for 2 weeks :-(
What all did you eat (ooops I mean drink) during your 3 days?

I bet you are so excited! I could hardly sleep! Anyway go into the OR chanting will walk, I will get up and walk. Wake up in the recovery room and ask how long until I can walk!!
It's made all the difference in this surgery compared to the others. I would lay in bed and mainline as much painkillers as I could. I'd deal with the gas issue later. Not with this surgery I had been warned. My surgeon repaired a whopper of a hernia which is why I'm still feeling punky but I'm still dragging my butt out and walking.
Have a great day tomorrow and remember it'll pass :)

my operation was the 26 of sept and went well. 1st 24 nothing but IV's then next morning was I given only one meal of stage 1 then later that day surgon put me right into stage 2 it went great...do not worry about getting hungry, it was hard enough to eat only 1/4 cup of soup and jello and cottage cheese deluted apple juice and took 2 hours. I walked every 3 to 4 hours for 15 min or more and only use morphine to get grogie enough to sleep! today its the 28th and I passed gas when I woke (lol) so I guess everythings is working now!
