If it wasn't very heavy, you probably did not do any damage.  Your muscles are probably just sore, like they would be if you did a bunch of sit ups or something.  If the pain is really bad, though, you should call your surgeon's office for advice.  Someone will be oncall all weekend.

This is why the Good Lord made Lortab;  take some pain meds and get comfortable.  You can
get back to doing stuff a little at a time.

Wow!   I am suprised you attempted laundry.  I was told no bending (dishwasher, laundry), no housework (vacuuming, etc) other than light dusting for six weeks.  At my 2 wk post op the doctor said I was in good enough shape to do any of those things.  Well, I would say it took at least another week and a half for the bending over not to hurt.  Almost all of it was with the bigger left-side incision.  Thankfully, all of that is gone now.  Knock on wood...

You might want to make a quick call to your doc office to double check on your post op restrictions.

Best wishes on quick healing :o)

I was told also to do nothing for at least 2 weeks......I know I should have listened but I have 5 kids still at home and the laundry was a mountain and I thought I will just grab the ones in the basket and be ok then my ocd kicked in and i had to seperate it all.....I tell ya I paid the price for it.....I actually laid in bed and cried it hurt so bad.......I am much better today all I have done is sit on the laptop, crochet, read, and watch movies other than get up and walk outside or thru the house and thats about all I plan to do until I see him oct 11th
Thanks
