OMG!!! Had to share just found the best protein bar.
I prefer the Pure Protein bars. I find the best prices on Ebay or Amazon, around $1.00 to $1.20 per bar, compared to the $1.50 plus prices at most stores. Example: 24 bars for $25.38 for the Chocolate Peanute Butter bars. Most Pure Protein bars have 20g (some flavors are 18-19g protein), similar calories, and usually 3-5g sugars, and these taste very good. I've used these bars for almost 5 years. Use date on shipment was mid 2012, so items tasted fresh. DAVE

I just tried the Power Crunch French Vanilla Wafer Cookies. I loved vanilla wafers pre-op and these seem to hit the spot, but I can only eat a half at a time. I like them also because they don't sit as heavy with me as some bars do. My other favorite is Supreme Carmel Nut Chocolate Protein bars. They remind me of a Nestles 100 Grand Candy Bar.
Funniest thing, I was just doing errands and on my way to the gym when I realized I was a bit hungry. Conveniently I was in Rite Aid (drug store) and saw the same protien bar.. Though i would try it and OHHH YEAH they are delicious, not hard to chew (some protien bars take me forever to chew enough not to cause pain) and I actually ate 1/2 of it before and 1/2 of it after my workout (I still typically don't finish a whole bar of anything LOL)...
I will definitely be buying a box of these.. I am only 6 weeks post op, and these definitely are easier to eat than most of the other bars!
Great find!
