I really enjoyed it.  That was one of the nicest parts of having my nephew here.  He was really proud of himself when he made dinner and everyone liked what he made, too.

My wife and family have been extremely supportive of me too.  I found after the surgery that I am loving to cook more and more, and involving my daughter too.  My wife eats like a bird anyway, and my son is a picky six year old who won't eat anything.  So my daughter and I have my meals and the rest of them fend for themselves.

Due to current economic conditions the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.                                                                         HW: 396 GW:230

Why is he going all day without eating if you don't cook?  He's an adult, surely he knows when he needs to eat and can fix himself something simple, at least.

Renegotiate your deal if you're going to want to cook less than you did before.  Suggest to him that he pick out some easy snack foods (healthy stuff) that he can have in the house for times you aren't eating much and he doesn't want to cook himself a meal.

You're not starving him to death, though.  He is capable of going into the kitchen and getting his own food.

Grab a bunch of Lean Cuisine's in the grocery store and put them in the freezer at home. When he's hungry, and it's not your meal time he can make a meal, eat it and throw it away. Out of sight for you, easy clean up for him. He can experiment with other brands/flavors but it's good food, fast to prepare and a single serving for him.
