I am having a hard time right now. I was suppose to start high protein shakes last week but haven't been able to do it. I will have surgery next week but I am worried because I have not been able to do the shakes instead of meals. I have been really hungry. Any suggestions? I saw that you did liquids for two weeks prior to surgery
The 2 week liquid diet before was the hardest part for me... I tried many of the protein shake recipes and they just made me nausea... I ordered the chicken soup flavored protein from Unjury and made it with chicken broth instead of jus****er and loved loved loved it... I also used the Strawberry Unjury with the Crystal Light strawberry banana drink mix with water and could tolerate it... all the premade protein shakes were just too gross for me... it's really hard to feel full during this time so I would eat the sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles all day long... It's real important to cut out the meals and only have the liquids... it has something to do with shrinking the liver... my surgery only took 35 mins to do and I just know it was because of the liquid diet... I don't know if this was what you were looking for but I hope it helps a little... Good luck to you and just remember when you feel like you are going to break down and eat the food just stop and think about the reasons you started this journey to begin with... I know you can do this... best wishes... keep us updated :)
