Kelly and Dave Lab results
I've had low D issues for 5 years since my RNY. At 4 per week, I could only get to a 65 using the 50K IU dry D3 over a 2 year period. I now take one per day and will get labs in a couple of weeks. Most post ops however, do not take this amount on a daily basis. I'd do as I suggested and do one every other day to begin with, and adjust with next labs in a few months. I WOULD NOT stop taking your vitamin D, as suggested in your post. Each patient is different, and their need for vitamin D will vary to get to the target level of 80-90. I've seen some posts where patients claim they attain 80+ numbers on 20K IU per week. Dave
