I remember reading about a vitamin program?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought I had read on here about a company the offers free vitamins for a short amount of time in special cir****tances. My husband is the income winner in our home. He has been withholding the money for vitamins since surgery 9 or so weeks ago. I have a multi and I've been getting vit B-12 from my doc, but I haven't had any of the others. Thursday he became physically abusive and was removed from our home. I am a disabled veteran so I do have a small amount of income, but not even enough to cover all of the household bills. There are apparently programs to help with most things, but none that cover vitamins, and I am really afraid that I will get really sick before I can get healed enough to find a way out of this mess. Then I remembered (or think I remember) reading on here about a company that may offer some help. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and If you do, could you pass on the information? Thanks                           -Julie

I believe it's Bariatric Advantage you're thinking of. I can't remember the name of the program but they have a form you can fill out and have your Dr. sign and you can qualify for free vitamins. You can check their website or call them for the info.
I'm sorry you're having to go through this!! Hope you can get some help!

I filled this form out last month and sent it to my physician to fill out his part.  About 2 weeks later, I received my vitiams..  Inside the box was b-12, iron with vit c, calcium and vitamins.  90 day supply of each.  You can request it two times total.  They do not ask about income or anything.

Julie, If you need the form, message me your email address and I can send you the form that needs filled out. I also took advantage of this program and got a free 90 day supply of vitamins. All you have to do is have your surgeon check which vitamins he wants you to take and sign the form. Then have someone from the surgeon's office fill out the rest of the form and fax it to Bariatric Advantage. I did not know you could request this 2 times (as PP mentioned) but that is good to know. Vitamins are expensive. BA vitamins are some of the best around and they taste good too! I am so sorry to hear about your situation and that you are going through such a difficult time.

I had the hospital send (fax) it in when I went in for my rny as i forgot to have my surgeons office do it. They came pretty quickly and sent me the berry, cherry flavors. 3 mos worth of each bottle.   pretty cool.

This is a great program. After you are done with it, I recommend getting your vitamins at CVS when they are buy one get one free. I stock up when they have a sale. Also, if you use a CVS card, you often get 25% off coupons. My vitamin cost each month is very low.

My thoughts are with you...
