Anyone else over a year out having trouble getting enough calories in? (x-post)
So, if you can't eat the quantity - the more important is the how often. You are only eating 2 meals and that isnt enough. You can still have your 2 coffees and eat 3 to 4 times per day but eat less than I suggested. I can't eat alot at a time most of the time either - I can usually eat 1 scrambled egg, 1 slice of bacon and a half of an english muffin and I am stuffed. I force myself to eat since I am never hungry. I got down to 125 pounds and was skin and bones and was told by my doctors that they would put me back on tube feedings if I didnt' gain weight on my own - so I make sure I get it in some how.
So, if you can only eat 1 egg and 2 slices of ham that is fine but you are better off with a whole egg than 2 egg whites.
Greek yogurt is a great option and has lots of protein - if you can tolerate nuts or peanut butter that is good too. Cheese sticks aren't filling and easy to carry around with you when you go out. Deli meat is a great lunch and if you make a half a wrap, that adds some calories.
You just have to be creative. But you need food, not just coffee - your digestive system needs it - believe me, malnutrion is no fun.
