6 mo journey so far/pics
It's so hard to believe 6 months have past already. Just shy of losing 85 pounds so far... When I look at the pics I feel so good from where I came. Unfortunately, I am sure I could have had better results if I would of worked out/exercised more regularly. OH WELL.....
Anyway... Let's see.... I still drink 2 protein drinks a day. (80grams-Isopures), I only eat 3 small meals a day. I try not to snack or graze throughout the day. My sweet tooth has not gone away... I still like to have something sweet once in awhile. Could be a cookie, piece of mini chocolate, just something small. As for eating, I still - maybe once a month - have episodes where I get sick and have to make myself throw up. Most days I still do not feel the actual hunger in my stomach. I just figure I need to eat so I do it. Some days I could take it or leave it. When I do eat... It's not always protein forward as we now call it. I do eat small amounts of pasta, rice sits very heavy in my pouch so I tend to stay away. I still love pizza and have a small piece when I want it. Most meats do not agree with me at all... Turkey is the best and once in awhile ham usually wrapped with cheese. My favs are: cheese, grapes, apples w peanut butter, greek yogurt, cauliflouer and cheese and mashed potatoes.
At month 4 exactly - my hair started falling out... It's still falling out like crazy. I have a LOT of bald spots on my head and there is no regrowth yet.
Otherwise..... At month 5 I ended up having to have gallbladder removed. That was 3 weeks ago, even though I feel better, I'm still not 100%.
Stalls.... yup, met them... not my friend! I have noticed a little pattern it seems like. The 2 weeks before my TOM, I do not lose a pound. The week of my TOM and the week after is when I lose. Strange I know, but thats how its been going.
For all the future RNY'ers and recent post ops... please know - I would redo this surgery over and over again! Wouldn't think twice!! And it all gets better and easier!!!
The first pics are a couple days before my surgery, the other pics were this morning.

PS- Love the gaps between my waist and arms - my arms do not sit on my hips anymore.

The BATWINGS are VERY VERY BAD!!!!!
But I will take them any day over big fat arms!!!
