Question for those 7months out from RNY
My surgery date was March 8, 2011 and like you and others I lost rapidly. I am down 99 pounds and am holding at current weight for the past couple weeks. Haven't changed anything in food intake nor upped any exercise program. What I have been doing has worked so I will continue to do just that. If I don't lose anymore so be it but I will continue to follow the same rules as day one and perhaps I will lose the 8 pounds "I" would like to lose, now my surgeon's goal was to lose 70-80% of excess body weight and as of date I lost 94%. I am blessed to have reached that high of a percentage.
From what I have read on OH there is still weight loss for up to 18 months so please don't be discouraged, it will continue to happen unfortunately slower but look on the bright side, you won't have to buy new clothes as oftern, will a little slow down you will have the opportunity to save a few pennies to buy the clothes in your next size range.
Keep on hanging on...........

I too am in a stall and had my surgery March 22,11 and have lost about 107 and have been battling this lose 4 lbs gain it back lose it again thing since the end of August. I didn't realize it, but did lose 18 lbs in 6 weeks so thats good, but continue to do the same. I've increase my acitivity and my caloric intake. I was only consuming around 600-700 a day and now and still working up to be between 800-1000. I have a lot of water retention issues, so that always seems to be my problem because I'll rapidly gain 4lbs over 2 days and it'll just sit there, then finally it'll come off.
Hang in there, I know I'm trying to hang in there. At least you only have 30lbs to lose, I have 93 more to lose for the docs goal, 123 for my own personal goal and I know how discourging it is. I feel like I won't make either goal that has been set for me. But, continue to plug along. Its better than giving up! We can lean on one another for support. I am always concerned if anyone else my size has gone through this.
