Hernia

 I recieved a call from my hospital to go in pre surgery test and paper work. I was told the Dr. is doing a hernia repair. Has anyone had a hernia repair along with RNY? If so was hospital stay the same or longer. Was it more pain full? My surgery is 10/24

I had a hiatal hernia repair, but there are more than one kind of hernia. My hospital stay was the same, but my esophogus was a bit more swollen so I had to go slower on water.

I had my hiatal hernia repaired which no one knew was there, along w gall bladder removal, band and port removal, RNY w remnant stomach removal last Thursday. I was in hospital 2 nights. Feeling bloated and tired today and experiencing a lot of emotional loss for the food. Other than that I am healing very quickly and look forward to the new lighter healthier life ahead.
