OT Meet Emma XP

This is my new baby, Emma.  I have officially lost my mind.  As if I didn't have enough problems with 4 dogs now I have 5.
She is an Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua mix and she is the sweetest thing.  She was neglected and possibly abused.  She is very skittish and very underweight.   The people I got her from said she didn't eat much but so far she has eaten a Burger King double cheeseburger and two cans of Cesar dog food, along with bites of my daughter's dinner.  My first priority is to fatten her up.
The other dogs seem to be accepting her.  She is really attached to my daughter already.  Today my daughter took her to bed with her for a nap and I went to check on them and when I got near the bed she growled at me.  It was so cute, she was protecting my daughter.
Now I get to sleep with 5 dogs at night.  I doubt I will have room on my bed any more.  I might have to sleep in the (unused) dog bed.

Do all your dogs sleep with you?  Only two of my cats will sleep in bed with me at the same time, and I know cats are small, but I swear they can take up a LOT of room.  They like to get right in the middle and stretch out as long as they possibly can.  Or else they hog the pillow.  I often wake up with my head off the pillow and a cat curled up in the middle of the pillow snoozing away.

You're baby's cuite.

So far the 4 of them do.  We'll see about Emma tonight.  I want her to sleep with my daughter since they have bonded so well so we'll see.
It does get very crowded and I have to admit they wake me frequently.  I would prefer they didn't sleep with me but whenever I try to put them out they sit at my door and cry and whine.  When I open the door I have 4 sad faces lined up looking at me and I give in.  Tonight should be fun.

Our house is full of critters. 2 labs (chocolate one above), 10 Adult Ragdoll Cats (Gimmy, a blue mink mitted neuter above) are just a couple of them.  Each night we have at least 2 cats and a 140 pound lab (Bob, the brother of Cody above), Madison--a 125 pound German Shorthaired Pointer, and 2 Ragdoll cats.  We've bred Ragdolls since 1977, and we think they're the best cats in the world. Needless to say, our king size bed is full. DAVE

Dave, that is quite possibly the CUTEST picture I've seen in my life!  I want to cuddle up with them!

Thanks for sharing!

I love this pic!  Ragdolls are so pretty.  And the lab with his big doggie toes there.     You just want to hug them.

She looks a little like my Lucy.
Lucy sleeps right next  to me. She loves my electric mattress pad. It's on high on my side of the bed!

Congrats on your new puppy.

sweet face!!!
I used to have 5 dogs... down to one 110lb Lab now. He used to sleep on the bed but after I left town for several days he now sleeps across my bedroom door so I have to step over him / wake him up to leave LOL
