One yr today

One year ago today I had life changing surgery.It was the best decision I could have made.Its been hard physically and mentually but all worth it.I now just take life day by day and roll with things.Alot has changed and still changing but I feel blessed to have had been given the chance to change my life and now Im living it up for my family and I.So I got an early bday/surgervasry present and her name is Dixie.She will replace the amount of weight I lost as I lost 165 and she will weigh anywhere from 150-170 lbs.Id much rather have her then the old me anyday:)

Loving this new life, just trying to figure it all out and take it all in day by day!!!

Y'all are awesome and you look amazing. WOW!!!! That is hilarious that Dixie will weigh as much as you have lost. That is a great way to put things into context. You can point to her and say...I have lost that much weight. She is a beauty and so are you. Take care of her joints (i.e. no jogging with you for the first year) asd she will be growing like a weed. (Sorry, I am a rescue person - English Springers - and can't help myself when it comes to those babies....) Good luck and keep us posted on yours and Dixie's progress. Happy Birthday/Surgiversary.
