Total WOW moment!

Hi folks! I am officially one week post-op today and feeling pretty good!

I lead a busy life and that's keeping the pain around a little longer, so I went in to my surgeon's office to see if they could call in a refill on the pain meds since Tylenol isn't doing anything for me yet.

While I was there, I decided to weigh in just to see where I was at. I weighed in last Thursday before leaving the hospital at 345.8 (I'm a little fuzzy on the decimal) which was a 4 lb gain from all the fluids which may have ended up being more since I got more fluids right before they released me. Anyway, today I weighed in at 336.1! That's a 9 lb loss in the last 5 days! WOW...

I mean, I knew my RNY would work and that I would lose weight, but that's a huge loss in a short time and I'm just amazed! And happy. :) I ended up accidentally saying "That's the EASIEST 9lbs I've ever lost!" LOL. SOOOOOOOO NOT EASY!

I had to do a 3 month supervised diet for insurance approval. It was a pain in the rear, but it was worth it in the end. I ended up losing about 40 lbs prior to surgery which made my surgery less risky and I'm sure has made recovery a bit easier! :)
