What to do about Thanksgiving?
I'm getting my new knee the day before Thanksgiving so I will still be inpatient. I guess it will be whatever they bring me.

I`m Canadian. Our Thanksgiving was October 10. I enjoyed everything. I even grazed during the day. I was still riding my bike at the time, so I took a couple of more extended rides that week. I didn`t gain or lose any weight.
I don`t dump unless I eat straight sugar on an empty stomach.
I figure I`ll do the same at Christmas. My challenge is to move from biking to walking. Last night I walked for 90 minutes at a fast clip. So I think if I do that every other day I`ll be okay. Walking around the city it is easy, not boring. But when I have to move indoors I might have to change it up a bit. I am worried about the winter.

I agree! I am doing a turkey trot Thanksgiving morning ..... and even though I will be just shy of 6 months out, I am planning on having just a bite of stuffing, potatoes, etc. Maybe even a bite of pumpkin pie. Compared to last Thanksgiving of 2 slices of pie, 2 healpings of stuffing, etc..... Life after WLS is awesome, moreover, I have appreciated and am thankful for my ever changing views of food.
