wow happy for you we need to talk am so happy for you I dont know whats the next step for me my nut told me 2 weeks ago she going to put my papers in for surgery I still have not heard anything yet my papers were send to my HMO. I did my psy my blood work my upper GI i still have to do my ekg and and other stuff but cant do it until am approve. you go girl am so happy for you i know i said that already god bless

Hey Peeches I know how you feel my NUT submitted my papers on OCT 18TH, and she said that my insurance board was suppose to meet on Oct 25th, so I was all excited and I called the surgeons office and scheduled my 1st appt with them! So then I get a call from my surgeons office and they say we have not gotten your insurance referral yet and we are going to cancel your appt, and reschedule it for Fri NOV 4! So I called my NUT and she looked to see what was going on, and she found out that the stupid insurance board decides to skip a week, and they are going to meet on Tues Nov1, and my Nut called today to reassure me that I was approved, and I can go to my appt tomorrow! Long process I have been on this journey since March31,2011, and it is frustrating! Them stupid insurance co. makes it so hard, but yet they say that obesity is one of the biggest health risk factors, stressing us out to get the surgery is enough to make our health bad geesh!! Well good luck and don't worry you should be hearing something real soon! P.S my insurance is a HMO to, and it is Kaiser Permanete of MD (Feds)

Congratulations!!! I just got a call from my insurance co. today also and the surgeons office 'I'm also approved"...now give me a surgery date!!! I will be following your journey,and cheering you on!!! Good Luck!!
