Hernia repaired with mesh?

Has anyone have belly hernia surgery fixed with the mesh? I need someone to compare notes with. I had it 2 weeks ago and starting to feel little jolts of burning sensation in area. Is this normal 2 weeks after having repair?

I had a belly button area hernia repair with mesh many years ago.  It itched like ant bites and had numb feeling for several months.  Every now and then it will itch.  My surgeon said it was healing causing the itch feeling.  But only had one hernia repair and had to have it open.  So I had tummy tuck done along with it, and some other problems taken care of.  Lucky my insurance paid most of bill, I think i paid like 900.00 for tummy tuck part.  It was major surgery and painful, but worth it.
