9ish months out, still full-out PCOS, feel like a failure
I'm a slow (er) loser. I'm excited if I get an entire 5 pounds dropped in a month and the scale goes up as much as it goes down but in 15 months I am down 110 pounds. I stopped looking at the 1-year mark as the goal line and started looking at the rest of my life as my goal line. I'm a size 14-16 and until I have plastic surgery or lose the rest of my weight I will NOT be a size 10.
A fasting blood sugar at 97 and an A1c of 5.8 aren't bad numbers at all. If you walked in off the street for a first test, they'd most likely just tell you to keep on eye on your diet and come back in 6 months. Nowhere near say 200 fasting and an A1c of 11 and sometimes it takes longer to trend down for people.
Sounds like you've hit a long stall it's time to shake things up. Increase your water and protein, eat something different, do a different type of exercise or skip a week of exercise, and/or increase your calorie intake. Take a good look at what you're eating and see if you're allowing grazing, too many carbs (PCOS is highly sensitive to carbs), or not enough fluids or protein. If you're moving your body every single day.
Whatever you do, don't allow yourself to self-fullfill your assumption that you're going to be a failure.

I'm sorry you feel like a failure. On paper..your numbers do not reflect failure. They reflect success. Your fasting blood sugar is normal. You are 9 months out and 18 pounds to goal....that is an excelllent response.
