FEELING OVERWHELMED
Today I go to my PCP to get these test done that my surgeon requested for me to have. He gave me 2 weeks to get an abdominal ultrasound, chest XRAY, EKG (which I thought I already had but it has to be no more than 30 days old), Moore blood work, and a Limited GI series( which may be hard to get an appt with them), I mean, Come on people I have been going to the nutritionist for 7mos, now I still have this to do before I can get a freakin surgery date! I am just tired of the running around, and I am so ready to get this over with so I can start my new lifestyle. Now my surgeon says that if I get all of these things done before my next appt with him(which is NOV18) then he can schedule me around the middle of DEC, but that still is not a actual date! I need to schedule time off from work, and I am so dam tired of everybody asking me, "So did you get a date?", and all that I can say is "he says around the middle of DEC", I can't even tell them what I am going threw, because they can't even begin to understand the process to have WLS? Last night I had a dream that I received a letter from my hospital stating that you are scheduled for surgery on DEC 6 at 455am! I was so happy, and This dream seemed so real! I am just so stuck on getting this WLS that I am having freakin dreams! Ok I am approved, I did my 6mos with my NUT, I thought that would be it, but geesh at this point I am just tired , and I want a DAM surgery date!
First...BREATHE!
Second...even though this is a lot (believe me, I know) try to keep in mind it's for a good purpose.
To be frank, they want you to survive the surgery. These tests will give them the information needed to do so. So as you do the running around (which is a pain...I know!) just keep that in mind and let it propel you. Your life is precious. There is only one you. The world would not be the same without you and these things that you are doing are to make sure the world gets to see YOUR success story. Because we do need to see it.
Hugs!
