A few NSV

Hello all,

So far things have been up and down. Scale moved 1.2 lbs today since the last 12 days. I am happy with that. I start the gym tomorrow with a Zumba class and I am super excited.  I am still throwing up despite my efforts to not eat fast and to chew. Certain things just don't agree right now with my pouch.  I am going to stick to my shakes, yogurt, and soups for now.  On to my NSV...

#1 I went to NY&Co and for the 1st time I could find clothes in there that fit!!! WOOOOHOOOOO .  I bought a nice halter dress and a very fashionable blazer to go with it.  The sleeves in the blazer are tight but I will use it as a motivational piece to keep me in the gym.

#2 For the first time in my life EVER, I weigh less than my baby brother. He is 6'2" and weighs close to what I did at the begining of my RNY journey.

#3 First time I weigh less than my mom also, but she has gained weight since having a total knee replacement. But the good thing is I am working on a diet with her since I don't think having RNY would be for her.

Although I have to say I am not totally happy right now with the RNY due to having so many things disagree with my pouch and mostly because I miss yummy food, I am happy with the results thus far.  With the added exercise, I can't wait. And for the first time in my life, I feel I won't be a fat bride (whenever that day comes lol)

Sounds good! Congrats on your NSV, and don't worry about the food, because remember all of those yummy foods got us in this situation in the first place, and eventually you will be able to eat someting you like, just give it time! This will past!

Sorry so many things have not agreed with you. I have thrown up once and once is all I hope to do. lol It was NOT fun. I don't like very many things and cannot eat very much yet at this point. I got a pill stuck last week and had to start all over. I was worried I had a stricture (the PA didn't think so tho) but it seems it's getting better. Makes you wonder if we'll ever graduate to denser foods, eh?
You have some wonderful NSV's. I'm too early out (and weigh much more) to see any yet. Good luck and keep us posted how you're doing! We care!

Thanks so much everyone. NSV is a non-scale victory.  I am starting to feel that I have a stricture too but I am going to keep working on this. I know our time will come and we will graduate to denser food and one day even more than just 1 or 2 bites.  I will definitely keep everyone updated.  I really think once I am doing more with my time, the head hunger will reduce.  I am going to see how this week goes and if I still have the same issues, I will call the doctor's office and see what they think.
