I had to giggle. Ahhh I remember my first sip of Isopure. I thought it was bottled vomit. Disgusting. I don't know how they stay in business. I haven't met many people who actually like their stuff enough to buy it more than just to try it.

i liked the grape pre-op, then tried it right after surgery and HATED it. i haven't tried it since, but i'm pretty sure there are still some bottles in my parents fridge. if they aren't expired i guess i'll try one when i go home for thanksgiving next week.

It's from the whey. I asked my nutritionist because it also floats around in the bottle. I was totally grossed out.

It has been awhile, but I used to drink the grape Isopure mixed with the grape propel.  It made it taste more like an off brand grape koolaid.  You might want to give this a try.

My husband, who has not had surgery, has been drinking them for years. He works out, so he needs the protein too. But he can chug it. He HATES them, but they offer a good amount of protein in a non-milky shake. He doesn't even taste it.
Oh the pre-op days when we could chug!

Some people really dislike Isopure.  I think it's OK but it has an aftertaste I could do without.  Their smoothies are much better, IMO.

I agree...that texture is gross in the mouth. I hated them when I was first post op but like them now. I love the 40g of protein!!! I only drink the Grape Frost. (my local GNC has difficulty keeping that flavor stocked. I usually buy all they have and warn them to stock more! lol )

Hmmm, 2 votes for the grape...maybe I'll try the grape. The green apple wasn't too bad but I hated the orange and blue raspberry. I would much rather drink the watermelon Cytosport.
