GONE!!!!

Thought this would be the best thing ever!!  NOT SO MUCH!!!!
I am no longer constipated, which is great but now...
Every time I have to go,  I get a horrible stomach ache.  My whole insides just gurgle and rumble and gurgle and I have insane diarrhea!!  It feels terrible.
It's great to not have to struggle anymore or take evasive action to make myself go after a week.... BUT --- will this be how I am going to   forever now???

Anyone else experience this??

Thanks   ~Jamie~

I had my galbladder taken out in 1985, with the exceptions of a few constipation bouts, I have had diarhea like you describe all the time.  Sorry, I hope yours gets better

I never had that after having my gall bladder removed.  I think you might want to call your doc in the morning and ask if it's normal and how long it should last and if there is anything you can do about it.  I don't think this should be how it is forever, no.

I'm still preop for my RNY but I had my gallbladder out back in May and it took about 6 weeks for my gut to settle down into a "routine". I thought I would never get back to normal but things did calm down.

Hope that it turns out to be nothing serious for you!

Thanks Kelly and Michelle.
*Kelly - I didnt think it seemed normal either. And I had my gallbladder out on Sept 22. These symptoms have been goin on now for only about a month and a half or so - I just assumed that this was what it's from. Maybe it's not related at all????? Hmmm... Now I just don't know.

It's possible it's not related, I don't know.  I think you need to talk to your doc.  A month and a half is a long time to deal with that.

If it's not related at all, perhaps you've developed a food intolerance?  I have all of those terrible GI symptoms you are having when I have wheat.  I am intolerant to the protein in the wheat gluten.

I hope your doc can figure it out for you quickly,
Paula

I had my gall bladder out 8 years ago. It still happens to me - it has gotten better since surgery, but bouts of diarrhea are inevitable with me. It happens more so after eating though - if you watch, you might realize triggers - coffee is a trigger for me, eating hot meals also is a trigger, and within an hour of eating, I will be in the bathroom.

Like I said, for me, since surgery, it has lessened, but still happens...

I had my gallbladder removed when I had my RNY. With all the constipation I've had since surgery I think I'd welcome diarrhea at this point.
