how much water i am getting, help with measuring..
anyhow, i fill it with ice, then a little water, first thing in the monring... some times i drink all the "liquid" out, and then refill it, with more liquid.... but most days, i drink on it, and the ice melts, it gets to be about half way down and i go put more ice in and then continue on during the day, i take it every where i go, and refill with ice some times while i am out and about....but on average, i refill it with ice when it is half empty or half melted.. at least 2-4 times every day....some days, the ice is totally gone and water is warm, i dump out and start out again with cup full of ice and some water...
i dont feel like i am dehydrated, when i went for my 6month post op appt, when i got on the scale thing, it weights your water, i was at 44% this was the end of sept. i have always drank alot of water, i dont drink crystal light, tea, coffee, jus****er or fresh squeezed lemonade that i make with some splenda and stevia....but not on a daily thing..
anyhow, any mathmaticians out there to figure this one out? i never really know how many oz of water i get in a day, but i think i am getting enough water..i can only drin**** cold water...always have even before surgery...and yes i do drink a 8oz glass of milk in the morning with my vitamins, but i know thats an 8oz cup..
thanks guys for the help

There's really no way of knowing exactly how much you're getting this way.
How about using 20oz bottles to refill your cup. Then you know exactly how much you're using as you empty the bottles. Or whatever size bottle you prefer.
My guess is the amount of water you're getting from the melted ice is minimal. I wouldn't count it toward my daily intake but as Kelly suggested....take the amount you normally put in your cup and let it melt. That will tell you how much you're getting from the ice alone.
