I think I may be eating too much at a time
As I read what everyone eats, I think I have not been following directions. I think I am eating too much. Seriously you all - I have been on liquids but I make one of those Soup at Hand tomato soups for lunch and drink the whole thing. It takes about 20 minutes but I fini**** For breakfast I make a shake of 8 oz skim milk with a sugarfree instant breakfast and a scoop of whey protein and again I drink all of it in about 20 minutes. Sometimes I get a can of cream of potato soup that I add the cup of milk and use my emulsification blender to puree the whole thing and I eat on it 2-3 times.
If I have a yogurt I eat the whole container which is 6oz.
Am I stretching my pouch? I try so hard to follow the rules and I knew when I got to start eating more solid food I would be measuring it but didn't even think I was supposed to measure while it is pretty much liquid.
If I should cut back please tell me !!! I think it will be easier now than later!

You can't stretch your pouch with liquids. Do you know why?

so I don't need to be measuring my food? Is a 6 oz yogurt too much though? What about one of those jello's or puddings? I know liquids are supposed to go right through you but what if you drink too fast?
I know I sound stupid but I think the doctors office expects everyone to know things because they say them every day. Patients don't know what to as****il it dawns on them there might be a problem. I like my doctors office but honestly I have only seen the doctor twice before surgery and twice in the hospital. The rest of the time I see either a nurse or a nurse practitioner. I read stuff here and think "oh no!".
Maybe I need to stop reading

You don't sound stupid. And when I asked if you knew why you couldn't stretch your pouch by drinking, I wasn't implying that you were stupid if you didn't know. I really did want to know if you knew.
And you do. Liquids go right through. You won't drink too fast. Not fast enough for them to stretch your pouch.
Yogurt is actually considered a full liquid. So is pudding. It's pretty much like a thick liquid. It will not be in your pouch long at all. 6 oz of yogurt is fine.
Are you working with a registered dietician? that's who should be talking to you about portion sizes, especially as you move on to more solid foods.
don't stop reading. But either accept that some people will be on different meal plans than you or able to tolerate different amounts than you (less or more than you), or skip the posts about how much people can eat. But keep coming for the support.

I felt the same way, but it's liquid..it goes down easy. I don't measure or weigh my food. I just started on soft foods and so far so good. I was not told to weigh or measure anything..I know it sounds crazy, but I've had no problems knowing when I'm full. My team wants to me to recognize the feeling again..not count on measurements.
