Never have I been on a board where I've felt so "safe" to ask any embarassing questions, or pour my heart out and not be judged.  This board is just awesome.  I am so thankful that I have found you all to help me on my pre-op journey.

While I 99% agree, there is the occasional troll (I got trolled on a post yesterday). DON'T let them get you down. NO ONE here is perfect or we would not be here. I've seen people post and never come back after getting lectured and/or trolled. Don't let them get you down if this ever happens to you. Know that most everyone on here wants to support and help you! Good luck with your upcoming surgery!

1.  You might want to look up the definition of "Troll" - I'll give you a hint, it doesn't mean someone that doesn't tell you what you want to hear.

2.  My reply was made to you today - not yesterday!

Support is not always about patting people's hand - sometimes it is about being informed and honest.   If someone doesn't want to hear opinions other than their own, they should think twice about posting on a public forum on the internet.

This Board is mostly supportive and kind but if you only want replies that make you feel good, make sure you post that disclaimer at the bottom of your post or you might just get an honest reply that you don't want to hear!

"A troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."

Lecturing someone about what they ate when they were simply asking about the symptoms it caused seems like perfect example of the above to me...but feel free to continue to have your own definition of a troll - I won't try and change that!
