I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
It sucks, nothing stops it, lots of protein slows it down, but I mean LOTS of protein. More then I can get in every single day. If you can get 100 grams or more a day it really does slow it down. I have taken tons of Biotin since before I got surgery and it didn't help with it falling out, but I hope it helps with regrowth whenever that starts to take place (soon God PLEASE!)
Don't stress too much, it will get better!! My hair was baby fine and thin before surgery and I started losing hair at about three months post op. I had a lot of breakage as well. The hair loss slowed down and finally stopped at approx nine months post op (I noticed the loss more that anyone else) and I started re-growing hair. It grew back in thick and CURLY!! I haven't had curly hair since I was a little girl and it was always baby fine. It's amazing what our bodies can and will do!!!

I love my new life!!!
on 12/6/11 3:35 am - Daytona Beach, FL
I notice it the most when I wash and then blow dry my hair. I have huge clumps of it in the shower when washing and rinsing and then another huge clump of it in my hairbrush when brushing every day.
Normally I have very thick and long hair, but I can definitely tell a difference. I'm usually getting in around 80g of protein a day, I'm not sure I can physically eat anymore to pump in that extra 20g to break 100.
So I try to look at it that it is only hair. Yes, I LOVE my hair, but it will grow back. I do NOT love my prior weight and don't ever want to see that come back!

I was checking out that Ovation Hair Therapy stuff, but it's so darn expensive.
Hang in there hun, this too shall pass!
