Liquid Softgel Prenatal vitamin???
So I just found out I'm pregnant with #4 this past friday (yay!) and the only vitamin they have at costco for prenatals is a liquid softgel!!! I have always loved getting my prenatal vits at costco because it's such a good deal for a lot of vits- and they've always had it in pill form ****il now).
My bariatric dr has ok'ed me taking gelcap medicines like Tylenol (rapid release works great or me) but I was wondering if this liquid softgel prenatal is different and I should look for more of a tablet or pill form instead of a softgel. I want the prenatal to absorb and make sure that my baby and I are getting the full nutrients we can. I'm also adding some folic acid extra on top of the prenatal and getting bloodwork every 3 months during the pg. Taking all my other stuff that I did since surgery but just had a question about the gelcap vit.
I've called my dr and left a msg with the nurse but wanted to see what you all had to say and what your dr's have said. The pg board on here is slow and this board moves quicker and so I thought I'd ask you all instead! Thanks!!!!

If by softgel, you mean those football shaped things with oily stuff inside, since we malabsorb fats, we won't absorb those so well. You'd absorb some, it's just hard to say how much.
