What a nightmare!

I get to the surgery center, and they don't have me on the schedule.  Then, an hour later they find out they do have me on the schedule, but have no paperwork on me.  I was supposed to have my endo at 8am, I didn't go in until 930.

When I came out of it, I had tears streaming down my face.  I asked them if I cried, and they said no, just coughed "a little".  It was more than just a little.  I broke blood vessels in my eyes, throat, all over my face and neck, and apparantly at some point during the coughing fit voided my bladder.  I am so embarassed and humiliated about that-I literally had no control of my body.

I feel like a truck hit me today.  They did find a hernia, which they said they'd repair during surgery.  Now I continue waiting...

Oh, wow.  What an awful experience.  I'm so sorry.  I've had endoscopies twice and both times it was very simple and nothing like that happened.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that.  I had my endoscopy a month ago and after many reassurances from the nurse that I wouldn't remember a thing, I was entirely awake and gagging the entire time. The only bright side was that they let me drive myself home because they never actually managed to sedate me.

It gets better from here, though! Good luck!
