Hard golf ball sized lump at pouch area!!

For the past few weeks, I have had no appetite at all. I get chest pains and excessive watery mouth (like before you vomit) way after I eat. I eat slowly and chew like crazy so I know nothing is getting stuck. I called the surgeon's office on 11/21 because I was concerned about all of the things I read about: Stricture, ulcer, dislodged staples. They finally called back on 11/25 and said what I was feeling was normal and I'd feel better soon. Anytime I call them, it's the same answer and quite frankly, the girl I alwasy end up speaking with is quite ****y. Last night I noticed a hard sizeable lump under my left breast area at the pouch area. It hurts so bad with a constant stabbing/shocking sensation. This can't be normal. I know my own body and why won't they listen to me?? I have totally given up with the surgeon's office and refuse to call there again. In fact, I don't even know if I will keep my 6 month f/u with them. I put a call into my PCP's office so hopefully she can help me. Any ideas on what this is I'm feeling? Has anyone had anything similar?

Your pancreas is located in that area too. It's not uncommon to develop pancreatitis after this surgery. I have the same pain and lump. Not always, but sometimes. They haven't found anything wrong with me, but I go for testing on 12/22 (the earliest i could get in to see my dr). Surgeon's offices can sometimes be of NO help. Mine is definitely NO help. I usually see my GP or gastroenterologist for any issues that I have. They're the only ones who ever give me answers.

I Just got back from my PCP - she squeezed me in today! She felt the lump too so it's not in my head. She's pretty sure it's scar tisse at the incision site and has ordered an Ultrasound and Upper GI. The Upper GI should also address the eating difficulty. And to boot..........she's placing a call to the Surgeon's office for me. So glad I called her since I can never get anywhere with the surgeon's office when I call. I can never seem to get past the receptionist.
