Crawling back to the face of the earth

I fell off the face of the earth for a while,, depression hit me hard. I'm here now. for those of you (which is probly most) that don't know me, I had my surgery  August 10th. I had an infected incision and pnumonia. I also was having a hard time getting vitamins and getting in my protein.

I will be honest, I had a hard time actually taking my vitamins till actually today. I would take some but not all. Today I am happy to say I took them all. I have also finally found a protein source that does not make me sick to my stomach. It's Ensure Muscle health. It is designed to be easy on the lactose intolerant (which I became after the surgery) and has 13g of protein in 8 oz.
I have only just recently (as in two days ago) found this. I can tell it's past due because I am seriously losing hair.

I have lost a total of 60 pounds since surgery. Due to my depression I have not been getting myself to do any real exercise. I am changing that this week. I am getting my membership back to my local community center which has a pool and a gym. My surgeon's office has a free gym but they are a bit too far away to really get to. The community center is just down the road from me.

I have had a couple non-scale victories. Lots of clothing that didn't used to fit now does, and does it well. Such as a coat my husband bought for me that just absolutly would not button around me now does so easily and comforably. I was able to wear a bracelet that wasn't designed for bigger women. It was a little tight, but before it wouldn't even meet around my wrist.
A lot of jeans still don't fit but the semi strectchy jeans I wear are able to be pulled off without unbuttoning. Also I can wear size 2x pj pants when before even 4xs were tight.

I have had a really bad start but hope to get on my feet and actually do well with this surgery.

I'll post pics later, I have to wait for my helper to get up :)

So glad that you have found your way back.  I was getting worried about you.  Congrats on the weight loss, and so sorry to hear you were having such a terrible time.  Wow, 60 pounds is awesome!  I will have to look for the ensure, as I too get the crumpy pouch sometimes and nothing seems to go down well.

Now that you are getting more protein and vitamins in your hair loss should eventually slow down. I have lost a lot as well, but it seems to be slowing down now that I can get more protein in.

Once again, glad to hear you are feeling better, cannot wait to see your pictures!
