I was just wondering has anyone tried freezing their shakes and eating them like ice cream? mmm it sounds good! If so, does it taste like ice cream??

This is what I do and I love my shakes - they're treats and I use them both as a breakfast meal and snacks.
I use - i cup of protein powder. I prefer French Vanilla with half a banana, 1/2 cup of calcium fortified OJ, 1/2 cup water, handful of ice. Then I freeze them in 4 or eight ounce tupperware or pyrex.
They're delicious and the only way I have been able to get all of my protein in. I still am not tired of them.

I didn't love them at first, but they grow on you.
Good luck.

I've made protein ice cream, which is basically a protein shake poured in the ice cream maker.  It's very good.

I do it frequently - BUT - if you're using skim milk, it's more like ice milk which freezes harder, so you may have to nuke it for 10 seconds to make it spoonable. It's the fat in cream that makes ice cream so soft.
