Tattoo Excess Skin

I have many tattoo on my arms half sleeve and others. I am curious if I go ahead FULL sleeve tattoo so excess skin won't notice when tattoo cover?  I am still pre-op.

I don't think that will work. If you have excess skin on the under part of your arm you are gonna see it whether it has a picture on it or not and it might distort the picture. How old are you? If you're young you may not have an issue on your arms. It all depends on how much you have to lose in that area and if your skin retracts. I'm 36 and my arms are not too bad. My tummy is much worse.

I am 35 years old. On my right arm HALF sleeve tattoo. I dont know what will happen after I lose weight result? Can't say if I have excess skin as yet because I am on pre-op. I am on process 3 months left to go see my surgeon consult after dietitian PCP. I am curious anyone who have tattoo half or full sleeve tattoo won't notice if they have excess skin or not.  Are you going to have tummy surgery. I weight 235 lbs.  I dont know its hard to tell about excess skin after weight loss. How many did you lose weight?

I'd wait. I have a large cross tat on my left arm. It used to Wrap only slightly around my bicep. Now it wraps over half way around. Plus, I'm developing some loose skin on the under side of my arms. If I had any ink there, it would be a wrinkled mess. Wait

Ohh.... I got it. let see and wait after I weight loss surgery I will see if I have excess under my arm then I might go ahead tattoo to cover but scare if I will have wrinkled mess. ouch.... I have half sleeve and half wraps without tattoo under my arm as yet. I plan to cover tattoo under my arm. That's why I post here to see what its saying....

I'll probably consider a tummy tuck and breast lift in a few years. I'm only 3 months out so it's a ways off. I could tell I was gonna have extra skin before I lost because there was quite a bit of fat there. I wasn't sure how much the skin would shrink but I knew for sure I would have some extra. Some people can be overweight and still have skinny arms and legs, but I was not one of those. I have lost 80 lbs and I have about 60 more to go. Right now my tummy and boobs are the worst! My arms aren't that noticible unles I wave......

and I agree with the other poster, your tatoo will look wrinkeled if you get it on your upper arm now. Wait till you're done.

That sound good idea for me to wait until I weight loss surgery then I will notice under of my arm to see if any excess skin or not. I am scare about wrinkled mess. geez..... I need tummy tuck that one because I have 5 children on c-section already sagging my tummy. I start to save my $$$ for tummy tuck. Dr told me after I weight loss surgery for 2 years dr can refer me to tumy tuck. I might be finish with less than a year let see and wait. My stomach have tattoo  oh my lord .....

Make it a treat to yourself once you reach your goal weight, it'll be something to look forward too!
