Thanks Kelly. From what my PCP was saying she just felt since my level was good and my body had to work so hard to absorb D it would be able to absorb the potassium better if it wasn't working so hard on absorbing the D and iron. And available iron was one of the hema..... words. Honestly when you go to the Dr's feeling like poop it's hard to absob everything they are saying to you. She did however write down for me to keep my iron the same, decrease my D and take prescription potassium. My Potassium was 2.8 but after 6 doses rebounded to 4. It is very volitile. Since it is back to normal now I will keep taking my D every other day like I was. And for what you said about 5000 iu being a small amount, my PCP commented that I am absorbing everything great and my labs don't look like someone who had RNY except the potassium. My total protein went from 7.8 preop to 7.7 post op. And my other labs were all really good too.
I heard back from MIchelle (vitalady) and she also thinks you should not cut back on the D3. She also wanted to make sure the D level that was 91 was the 0.25 hydroxy test, not the 1,25 test.

yes it was the .25 hydroxy. And I am getting D3 from my calcuim too, so I am getting a little more than the 5000 iu every other day, but I will continue what I'm doing and when they retest in 3 months I'll see what happens. I'm not sure if this matters or not but I have been going tanning once or twice a week, I know I know.... it's bad for your skin, but it makes me feel great! So I'm not sure if fake sun can raise your D levels like the real thing but that might be helping.
