I know we cannot take our multivitamin and calcium within two hours of each other but can I take both multivitamins at the same time?
 Thanks!!

You can take your mutli and calcium at the same time (or at least that's what I understand and have been doing). However, you need a 2-hour window between the time you take iron and calcium. If your mutli has iron in it, that would be the reason to take them separately. Since I take carbonyl and my vitamin C seperately from my mutli it makes life much simpler. You need to take the multi twice a day, so you have a steady dose of the daily requirement. If you overload it once a day, the extra you don't process will just be lost when you urinate.

edited to add: If this doesn't make since (isn't complete sentences) I just took a Resteril because I couldn't sleep. Looks like real sentences to me, but might be gogglygook. LOL

Take your multis am and pm.  Calcium can be taken with them if they do not have iron.  It is the iron and calcuim that you don't want to to together.

Actually, we CAN take our multi and calcium at the same time.  IF the multi has iron, though, we would not absorb it.

Don't take both multis at the same time.  We can only absorb so much of some vitamins at a time.

Thanks!!! I should have said that my multi does have iron in it....I was thinking taking both multis together wouldn't all be absorbed! So I will take in am and pm and calcium in between.

Remember that you can only absorb about 500 mg calcium at a time and the ASMBS says you need 1500-2000 mg calcium citrate a day, so that means three or four doses a day.  At least two hours apart and at least two hours away from your iron.
