I have 4 closets full of clothes.. One full of pants one full of jackets one full of long sleeve and winter items and one full of summer clothes. I would say 60 % of it I got at thrift stores..

I know! It only had a label on the zipper and it was in the wrong size section. I thought it looked big enough and gave it a try.
You gotta look way outside your size zone in those places.

I am a thrift shop and consignment shop *****!!

I love dressing nice, but hate spending big dollars to do it, so I really enjoy shopping at consignment shops and thrift shops, looking for treasures.

This wee****lebrated my 9th anniversary at my job and the announcement actually mentioned that I was the "classy" dressed employee.  LoL

It is amazing what you can find at garage sales, thrift shops, EBay, and consignment shops for cheap!!!

Love Goodwill Select and upscale consignment stores. Best finds have been a belted, short leather coat for $8 at Family Thrift in Ft. Myers, FL and 4 winter jackets for less than $20 at Goodwill.  One just has to take the time to look to find the good stuff.

i live in rockledge, florida and there is a humane society thrift shop that i have found, they have some racks that are $2.00 a bag full.i have hit these racks twice now, and the first time i got 10 items in my bag and one pair of pants were Michael Kors dress pants, they are nice, they were a little tight for me when i first got them, so i gave them to my daughter, but now that a few more pounds have come off, i will try them on again...that was my biggest find, the last time i went i got 16 items in the bag...my style is more of a relaxed style as i dont work yet, but i am looking for a job...so i have been getting some dress clothes for work...as of right now, my closet only has about 5-7 items that are new from stores, the rest are from thrift stores or given to me...and i like it that way...

Encore Thrift Shop, inside the old Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, IL (the hospital is moving next month to New Lenox).

It's all boutique stuff donated by doctors' wives, and last time I was there I got brand new name brand jeans and designer slacks for 2 bucks each, tags still on them.... retail 100 total.

I have totally become addicted to Sal. Army andn consignment shopping.  I have had some awesome scores at the Roch. Hills, MI and Ann Arbor, MI Sal. Army stores.  I scored a North Face 3/4 length down coat for $35.  I found a cashmere sweater from Saks Fifth Ave. for $8 and many Talbots items.   I love buying the classics.  I will almost be a little sad to grow too small to wear these items in the future.

Oh yes, and due to a post on this site I found a bathing suit for next summer for $10 and hope I have shrunk enough to fit in it.  It's been a long time since I have looked forward to wearing a bathing suit!

Happy shopping to you all!
