1 Week Post op!!
1 week ago from today I was in the hospital having my RNY! Well I just came back from my surgeons office, and I am now down to 312lbs yayyyy. When I started this journey my weight was 338lbs. The day of my surgery I was 316lbs, and with the water gain from my surgery--- I am now down to 312lbs I will take it, and I am so proud of my self. My surgeon also got rid of my lil friend Jackson and Paul "JP drain", OHHHHH WHAT A REL IF!! That drain was really weighing me down bad enough we already don't have that much space in our stomach as it is, but with that tube in-- it was so nagging, and sometimes painful. It was hard bending over, I had to make sure that the tube was not dragging, and sometimes it would cause awful stomach cramps ughhh!! Well immediately after the nurse took it out I felt like I could drink more, and I definitely need more fluids which is my goal for today. My surgeon also said that I can start exercising today, so I got the Xbox connect with dance central 2 and that is going to be my friend. Well to all of my pre op friends when The Veterans say " hang in there it will get better"and it does.....While I still have a long way to go--I sure do feel better than what I did 7days ago!!

Sounds like you're doing good.

Hi Kelly!! Yes I am so suprised at how good I feel, and so is my family. I do crave food some times but I am on full liquids until next week, so I can stick it out, but I can not wait until next week so that I can move on to the Puree stage. Thanks again Kelly for your advice and support it has really educated me. I appreciate you!!

That first pureed food is probably gonna taste so yummy! My first pureed food was mashed potatoes and I was totally stuffed after three small bites but I swear, that was the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten.
