Hey, I wanted to tell you about the 100's of people I really DO KNOW that are sick and near death due to being over weight. Then I would show her the newspaper and the obit section and see all the young people who are dead before their time and ask "I wonder if they were over weigh or had HBP or type 2 diabetes"
More people, WAY MORE PEOPLE, die from complication of being over weight then die from RNY. I don't know this for a fact, but I bet some of the people who do die after RNY do so because of the number of years they spent being over weight to begin with.

My sister in law also had the RNY.. Sadly 3 months out she passed away in her sleep..another reason why I tried talking myself out of having the surgery.. My other sister in law almost died too.
She had a leak..another reason.. I'm almost 18 months out.. Just had a tummy tuck.. Weighing 135 pds..Wearing size small shrts and size 8 pants...I would indeed do it all over again...
