Has anyone NOT waited 18 months for plastics??
Wow...I definitely want it done... What kind of medical issues do I have to have for insurances to cover it... I have no rashes... just hanging skin?... I know its expensive but I don't know exact... I have 3 teenage kiddos and they're expensive too... it would be great if I could have insurance to cover a tummy tuck or panni to reduce the expenses of all I want done... and how was recovery?
I had my first round at 16 months. Emotionally I needed too but... I should have waited.... lost 11 more pounds and my arms need some more nipping for sure. So be aware your outcome will probably be affected if you are still losing or needing to lose.
I had LBL, BL/BA, Arms at 16 mos
6 months later 2nd scheduled round on breasts (my girls were sad, LOL now they are HAPPY ;) )
Yet to do when $$$, time & desire to get carved up like a Turkey at Thanksgiving happen at once: Inner thighs, more arms.
Best wishes with your research,

Plastic surgeons in my area won't even look at a post op rny patient until they're 2 years out and have been at a stable weight for 3-6 months. There is a shift we all seem to have at about the 2 yr mark. Not necessarily more weight loss but a shift of what we have. Things move and change and it's better to not have surgically changed your body if it's going to lose or change shape again. There's usually no reason to rush (barring medical problems) into plastics. Most surgeons say it takes a full year after hitting goal for the skin to shrink back to where it's going to be. I do know a couple girls who had it as soon as they hit goal and were sorry later when they lost more and their new "look" was uneven or didn't look right. You don't want to have work done and then a shift in proportions makes it look terrible. Most insurance won't cover a procedure they've already paid for if it needs to be done again. Wait until you're where you want to be weight wise, give your body a change to change, rest or reshape itself and then have the work done you want. Remember to document all skin rashes, muscle pulls from hanging skin, or any physical problems the excess skin is causing for submitting it to your insurance later.
Good luck.
