12 weeks post-op today (progress pic)
Hi guys! I'm 12 weeks out today and down 58.3 pounds since surgery and 102.2 lbs down from my highest weight!
I still have had no problems whatsoever. I'm able to get in my protein with ease - from food sources rather than liquids, which is good because I still can't stomach protein shakes after two weeks of full liquids right after my surgery. I'm excited to be able to start exploring raw veggies and the rest of the restricted foods after I visit with my NUT and my surgeon on the 25th. I faltered on taking my vitamins for a couple weeks after I got off track taking them while I was ill and they made me want to vomit, but I'm getting back on track with them now.
I have had a couple dumping episodes where my heart raced and I felt nauseous, but it wasn't really scary or horrible though it was FAR from a pleasant experience. It's really difficult to predict what will make me dump when I tolerate so much, but I guess that's part of my life now and it doesn't at all make me regret having this surgery.
At my highest weight, I was in a size 32 jean and 26/28 top. Currently I'm in size 22 jeans and 18/20 tops. I'm excited about all the changes I'm already seeing and all those to come!
Here's a side-by-side comparison pic. My highest weight was actually 385 lbs, so by the time I actually took my official before picture I had already lost 15 lbs.
