can anyone tell me about this stuff PERI-COLACE

It is a stool softener with a laxative. Pretty well tolerated. Works well too.

Hi It is a laxative with a  stool softener. Buy the generic because name brand is very expensive. Colace is just a stool softener. Hope this helps.

colace, a stool softner, is safe to use long term. per-colace contains a stimlant laxative and is used only short term...long term use of it can cause dependence.

I would recommend Mira-lax.  That is what my surgeion recommends too.  It does not cause dependence.  You can also take plain Colace if the stool is still too firm.

I would get generic of both to help with expense.
